CAST

Simon Winheld grew up in Berkeley, California, and studied art and acting in New York City. Some favorite theatre credits include Nero in the off-Broadway production of Pete Rex at 59E59 Theaters; Gabriel in Forest Rituals for Save The Redwoods League; and most recently Benandonner the Scottish Giant in Cal Revels’ 2024 production of The Midwinter Revels. He is thrilled to join JT Presents, and to be playing the role of Rolfe Gruber in The Radicalization of Rolfe. In addition to acting, Simon is also an illustrator, and the author of Are You Dissing Me? What Animals Really Think (Chronicle Books).

Tyler Iiams is a Bay Area local last seen as Caden in The Thanksgiving play, and Brian in Grand Horizons, both at Altarena playhouse. He wants to thank you for supporting live theatre and hopes you enjoy the show!

While not born in the Bay area, actor and singer John Hurst, has been blessed to work in a number of productions that have included both classical and contemporary plays. His roles roles have Uncle Vanya in the title of the play by Anton Chekhov, Polinious in a LA production of Hamlet, branantios from a San Francisco production of Othello, Max from the umbrella play at the Phoenix theatre, and Con Melody in a production of Eugene O’Neil touch of a poet. In addition to these credits John Hurst has performed as a baritone with the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir. He looks forward to sharing the stage with a collection of exceptionally gifted actors.

Martin Grimes is thrilled to make his San Francisco theater stage debut in this production. His creative background is primarily in standup comedy and improv, having performed in several comedy festivals and as a semifinalist in the Great Canadian Laugh Off in Toronto. He has performed at Pasadena’s Ice House, the San Francisco Punch Line, San Jose Improv, the legendary Purple Onion and Rooster T. Feathers. He and his husband dedicate much of their time to professional dog sitting and walking. Martin is deep in his sourdough bread era, cultivates vegetables in one of San Francisco’s community gardens, and never takes a day off from his New York Times crossword puzzles.
